Pacific Coast Highway - Day 10
Jump to Day
We got up at 8 AM, took a shower and went upstairs to find Chef Ted in the kitchen cooking bacon and eggs for all of us. The wonderful Yukon blend of Starbucks Coffee was all ready and aromatic. The kids were already off to swim practice so early - what dedication. We played with Hope and Elvis, a special breed of cats. They are so well mannered and well tempered, even with strangers. After breakfast I washed, cleaned, vacuumed, and polished the car for the next leg of our journey. Gen worked on emails and caught up with the University of Phoenix business on the net. We then wrote the Journal and put it up on the net. We had time to talk with Ted and Jane and catch up on family news over a great snack of Tillamook cheese and some of the best apples and oranges we have ever eaten.
This was a busy day for everyone, Ted picked up a new Lexus LS 430, the kids were busy with swimming and activities with their friends, and we went to Bob and Susan’s house for dinner. Prior to leaving Ted and I posed for some pictures with the S2000. On the way over to West Seattle we made a short stop at Costco, one of our favorite places to visit. The selections in the Seattle stores are so much more extensive than we find in Colorado.
We were welcomed by Bob and Susan (my cousin) and their two cats, Katie and Spencer. We had a delicious halibut dinner and wonderful evening together getting caught up on the family news. We left about 9:30, drove by the Starbucks building and filled the tank just down the street from Safeco Field where the Mariners were playing the Tigers. We got back to Ted and Jane’s house and started organizing and packing up for our trip on Sunday morning.
